We are a team of product designers, UX specialists and UI designers at DVT based in Johannesburg and Pretoria working on medium to large scale mobile and web projects for local and international clients.
At DVT we follow a human-centred design approach and make use of methodologies such as Lean UX and design thinking. We strive to collaborate with business stakeholders and software engineers as far as possible, to come up with the best possible solution every time. We are not caught up on tools but we make use of Sketch, Invision, Illustrator, Adobe XD, Figma, UXPin and many more.
Our team of 20+ designers comprises intermediate to senior UX and UI designers as well as mentors and design leads. In addition we hire UX graduates each year who join DVT’s software graduate programme.

Starting out as custom business software developers in Cape Town in 1999, we’ve grown to become a international software development company that assists clients with digital transformation across many industries. We have offices in South Africa, the UK and the Netherlands and clients globally.

The DVT Academy, the company’s training division, provides agile related training courses, international agile certifications, a UX fundamentals course and soft-skills workshops and coaching.
DVT has grown to over 600 staff and is a company within the software and technology group Dynamic Technologies where skills development and training form an integral part of the group.

FAQ's
Yes - our UX internship covers the fundamentals of human centred design, mobile app and web app design. The internship runs for 12 months and is open to graduates with a qualification in interaction design, multimedia or information systems.
After 4 months of training (design bootcamp) working with the mobile and development graduates, our interns begin work on real world client projects just like any other DVT consultant.
